Carnival Cruise Tips

Carnival Cruise Tips Next find useful carnival cruise tips for your travel:

  • Try to book rooms that have cabins above, below and across. It is not a good idea to book rooms that are near a kitchen or pizzeria area or the pool section.

  • Don't book rooms that are near the doctor's office, housekeeping areas or the service elevators.

  • If you do not know what outfits you should bring, it is a good idea to pick your shoes first and then choose your outfits around them.

  • Bring comfortable shoes for walking, a nice pair of formal shoes for the evening and casual shoes for the parties.

  • Don't forget to bring all your documentation and IDs that will be required before you go.

  • Some countries might ask you for immunizations to enter. Ask your doctor about your carnival cruise plans. If needed, be sure to bring the immunizations proof with you.

  • When you receive your cruise documentation, be sure to review it in detail and make sure that all the information is correct. This will avoid you problems in the middle of the trip.

  • Make sure that wherever you book, that they have a real person available for you, so he can help you deal with any problems or questions.

  • Remember that if you booked with a travel agent, all your communications and questions must go through the agent. Almost all cruise lines follow that policy.

  • Plan your carnival cruise vacation ahead of time. This way you can make sure that you'll have everything you need and everything ready before sailing.

  • If you're traveling with a companion, make sure you divide your checked items in two or more suitcases. If one suitcase is lost, you'll have something to wear.

  • Try to pack clothes that is re-usable on the cruise. For example a men's blazer that could be used in a formal night with a tie or in an informal night without it.

  • Carry all documents, medicines, essentials, and valuables with you in your carry-on.

  • Don't bring full size shampoos. Save or purchase smaller plastic bottles and bring only what you need. Try sealing plastic bottles in zip-lock bags for added protection.

  • A pair of personal communications devices (as kids, we used to call these walkie-talkies) is useful in keeping track of your traveling companions on the ship.

  • Most cruise lines do not permit you to carry alcohol on board due to customs regulations. If you buy alcohol in the duty free, be warned that it will be confiscated until the last day of the cruise.

  • Prices of accommodation depends largely on which deck you have chosen to stay, staying in the lower decks is generally cheaper than 'styling it' on the upper deck. Try and obtain a plan of the boat before you book.
